Kate grew up in California and moved to Pennsylvania in 2023 to attend Planted as a student. She spent a lot of time outdoors growing up, whether gardening at home, swimming and boating on Vancouver Island, or hiking in the California Bay Area. All of these experiences led her to a love of creation and the way it reflects the Creator. Her time as a student at Planted gave her a deeper appreciation for studying the creation imagery in God’s Word (and studying God’s Word in general!).

When she’s not busy working on administrative projects, she enjoys learning new homesteading skills, singing whatever song comes to mind, and hearing how God’s working in your life! She also loves to prepare the fruits of farm labor in the kitchen and create an environment where people can experience the love of Christ through hospitality.

Kate now works at Planted as helping with behind-the-scenes details like administrative support, scheduling, and communication. When she's not behind a computer, you'll often find her in the kitchen or down at the farm. She also enjoys opportunities to work and adventure with students and serve in the local church.
